Elmopalooza
The Elmopalooza is a big celebration of the 30th anniversary of Sesame Street at the Radio City Music Hall hosted by Jon Stewart.
Elmo visits Jon before the show and then leaves. As he shuts the door, it gets stuck before Jon can even tell him that it’s broken. So now the door won’t open and Jon, unfortunately, can’t host the show.
Meanwhile, Grover drives Gordon, Gina, Mr Handford, Susan and Bob to the studio with a limo. But Grover doesn’t know the way so he drives them in the wrong direction.
So now Elmo hosts the show instead of Jon Stewart and he’s presenting remakes of previous Sesame Street Elmopalooza songs. The first song is “Just Happy to Be Me” with The Fugees, the second one is “Mambo I, I, I” with Gloria Estefan, the third one is “Zig Zag Dance” with The Mighty Mighty Bosstones and the fourth one is “I Don’t Want To Live On The Moon” with Shawn Colvin and Ernie.
Meanwhile, Big Bird and Oscar try to get Prairie Dawn and Jon out of that room.
Grover and co. have now already picked up some penguins and aliens and they are in Roswell, New Mexico.
The fifth song “I Want a Monster to Be My Friend” with En Vogue is playing.
Ernie and Bert are breaking everything and the machine, which is responsible for the video and audio is broken, too.
In "Sesame Street Elmopalooza", Elmo and Rosie O’Donnell are now singing “Nearly missed” and after that, they play “Caribbean Amphibian” with Jimmy Buffet and Kermit the Frog.
Elmo now wants to leave because he lost all his confidence but Jon Stewart has got a song that would cheer up Elmo. So they manage to finally open the door with Oscar’s worm and “One Small Voice” with Kenny Loggins plays which can finally bring Elmo, who then sings a song about songs with Jon and the cast. Grover and co. have now arrived at the theatre, too.
The last song is a medley of different songs, also from Sesame Street: “Rubber Duckie” with Ernie and Bert, “ABC-DEF-GHI” with Big Bird, “I Love Trash” with Oscar, “C is for Cookie” with Cookie Monster and “The People in your Neighbourhood”. The song that plays during the end credits is the Street Theme with various celebrities and Muppets. After that Sesame Street Elmopalooza video ends.
