Sesame Street Episode 4209
Tribute to Number Seven
Season 40 (2009-2010)

In Episode 4209 of Sesame Street, Zoe, Rosita, and Abby welcome the viewers and announce that they are throwing a big celebration for the number 7. They don showgirl outfits and sing the "Amazing Awesome Seven Song". Rosita then introduces Zoe, who performs a 7 dance number.

Zoe, dressed in Arabian garb, sings the "Seven Chickens Dance" over the music of Ravel's "Bolero". While she sings, seven chickens arrange themselves into different groups. The girls perform a short reprise of their opening song. Abby then introduces Rosita and Maria, who will be performing "The Number Siete Rumba". Rosita tells them that "siete" is the Spanish word for 7.

Rosita and Maria sing "The Number Siete Rumba". Abby and Zoe are about to introduce the next act when a sniffling letter S appears. He is sad because he has no way of honoring the number 7. The girls get an idea and fetch seven things that start with S (a spoon, sandwich, skates, a sombrero, a starfish, a seal, and snow). They then sing a song about the words. They introduce Abby and her assistant Elmo, who will perform magic tricks involving the number seven.

Abby and Elmo perform magic tricks involving the number seven. First, she makes a 7 appear from a top hat. Next, she makes seven butterflies fly out of Elmo's ear. Finally, she plans to turn one pumpkin into 7, but instead makes six more Elmos (totaling to 7 Elmos, including the real Elmo). She makes them disappear and successfully makes 7 pumpkins in the shape of the number 7.

All the performers gather for the big finale. As Wolfgang barks along to the applause, Harvey Kneeslapper appears and slaps a 7 on his beach ball, then runs off laughing. Throughout the street scenes, the characters celebrate the number 7 with various performances, songs, and magical acts, showcasing the importance and joy of this number.

In a Muppets / Celebrity segment, Hugh Jackman and Elmo explain how they concentrate. Murray announces Abby's Flying Fairy School is coming soon, and he and the kids rap about S words.

In a Cartoon segment, Cookie Monster sings about the S sound in the word "sandwich." Abby's Flying Fairy School segment showcases the students growing their own plants. Abby, Blogg, and Peck grow their flowers, but Gonnigan has no luck. He uses magic to make a beanstalk grow, and the students embark on an adventure to retrieve Peck from a giant. In the end, Niblet returns to normal size after eating parts of the beanstalk.

Murray introduces "Murray Has a Little Lamb" and counts 7 dancers, hula-hoops, pink hats, and kids. A Cartoon segment features a hopscotch game with seven squares. In the "Murray Has a Little Lamb" segment, Ovejita leads Murray to a baseball school, where kids practice playing baseball. With practice, Murray eventually hits a home run.

In a Song segment, "Me, M-E, Me!" is performed. Murray announces "Elmo's World" is coming up and gives a demonstration of forward and backward, walking forward and knocking the camera over. In an Ernie and Bert segment, Ernie sings "I Love My Room" about all the things he can do in his room, which is also Bert's room. An Animation segment features two groups of creatures creating a rhythm by lining up in a pattern on top of a keyboard. Finally, the episode concludes with "Elmo's World: Drums."
