FRAME 1: Big Bird appears and explains what is silly. He wears a spinning bow tie. He presents the silly songs.
Muppets: Ernie and other Muppets are singing "The Honker-Duckie-Dinger Jamboree." song and they are dancing.
FRAME 2: Maria and Luis are coming wearing Groucho glasses and they say "Now that was silly!"
Cartoon: "Ladybugs' Picnic" this is a song and cartoon about 12 ladybugs picnic day. They are playing and having a joyful picnic.
Celebrity: James Taylor is a guest of "Sesame Street Sing Yourself Silly". James Taylor performs the song "Jellyman Kelly" with a bunch of kids. The kids enjoying the song and they sing with James.
FRAME 3: Gladys says, "Now that was silly!" and walks off laughing.
Muppets: Polly Darton sings the song "Wavin' Goodbye to You with My Heart." With other Muppets playing the instruments.
FRAME 4: The Amazing Mumford and his duck appear in a puff of smoke. The duck says "Now that was silly!" and Mumford lets out a quack.
Muppets: "Old MacDonald Cantata"
Muppets are playing the music from Old Mac Donald, with their noses and head.
FRAME 5: Forgetful Jones says, "Now that was spinach!" but they are not the right words
Muppets: Oscar and Grundgetta sings the song "Everything in the Wrong Place Ball." "Sesame Street Sing Yourself Silly" continues with beautiful songs.
FRAME 6: Forgetful Jones says that was milly, they still can not remember the word silly.
Muppets: Song - "One Banana"
FRAME 7: Count von Count sings the banana song and he counts seven bananas. Two other Muppets are singing with. That was silly!
Cartoon: Jim Thurman sings "Calcutta Joe." In a cartoon.
FRAME 8: Sesame Street Sing Yourself Silly continues. Big Bird and the Honkers are together. Big Bird says that silly songs are no laughing matter. To write them or to make music you need to be a genius.
Muppets: Sesame Street News Flash: Don Music tries to write "Mary Had a Little Lamb" but he has difficulties. He can't find a word that rhymes with the word "snow." Kermit comes and suggests that don’t have to try another angle. He helps Don to change this part. They try with the canary. So, Don writes the hit song "Mary Had a Bicycle." Don sings this song, with Monotones.
FRAME 9: Oscar says "Now that was yucky! I'm not gonna say 'silly',". Elmo points out that Oscar did say "silly". Oscar goes back into his trash can. Elmo laughs and says that Grouch said silly.
Cartoon: "Ten Turtles"
Artist: Bud Luckey. A song about ten tiny turtles.
Muppets / Celebrity: Hoots plays his saxophone and tells Ernie to "Put Down the Duckie." They are playing and singing with other Muppets and celebrities (celebrity version)
Closing lines cut.
FRAME 10: Big Bird asks the kids how the song was. The Kids confirm, "Now that was silly!" and they dance with Big Bird to "The Honker-Duckie-Dinger Jamboree".
Finally, Maria and Luis exclaiming ‘Now that was silly!’ Sesame Street Sing Yourself Silly ends.
