Don't Wake the Baby, Street Story: Leela appears on scene, she whispers because she has just put her baby niece Nila to sleep. Telly and Elmo come, they speak so loudly. Leela hushes them. They realize that Sesame Street is full of loud noises that may cause to wake Nila up as they almost did and be the Noise Patrol that will keep surrounding noise to a minimum level. They get some tools to help listen, but they choose binoculars and a megaphone.
Leela warns them these tool are not suitable and they need ear tools. And then they hear Horatio while playing basketball, Horatio thinks he is away from Nila and his bouncing will not wake her. Telly thinks that his bouncing will cause to get more animals come here to play and make noise too. As he thinks, a monkey, lion and tiger appear and they begin a noisy game until Telly warns the players.
Nila is still sleeping in spite of the noise and the animals go to the park to continue their game. Now, the Noise Patrol hears some music that comes from Grover's boom box. They want to warn him to down music, but he does not hear them due to loud music and he goes on his dance. They dance in order to pay Grover's attention. Telly accidentally up the music louder. Luckily Nila is still sleeping. Grover, puts on his headphones and dances off in order not to disturb Nila.
Now there is again loud that may cause her wake up. It comes from a construction worker nearby. They warns him not to make noise because of Nila. Telly makes sure he will not use the jackhammer, but he accidentally starts it up, dragging him out of control, but Nila does not get up and the worker leave from job for lunch break. Finally they stop all noise but now Nila wakes up crying. They try to provide a quit place for her in order to continue her sleep, but at the end of it they realize Nila needs a bit loud to fall asleep. She sings a lullaby to Nila about soft and relaxing sounds. Don't Wake the Baby, Street Story ends.
