Sesame Street Bert and Ernie's Great Adventures is a Sesame Street Special Video, as a DVD that was released in April 2010. The DVD includes thirteen "Bert and Ernie's Great Adventures" segments, the duration of each segment is five-minute. Each video segment is mainly about the adventures of Bert and Ernie. The name of the segments are "Pirates", "Deep Sea", "Tiny Town", "Planet Bert", "Cavemen", "Mountain Climbers", "Penguins", "Ernlock Holmes", "Rainforest", "Bakers" "Wizards", "Three Wishes" and "Kung Fu"
Bert and Ernie's Great Adventures Pirates:
"Pirates" is one of the episodes in the series of Sesame Street Bert and Ernie's Great Adventures. We see Ernie and Bert as pirates, they look for treasure on the open sea. They come to an island, they meet a monkey in the island and that monkey steals their map, and they have to swap Bert's clothes in order to get their map back. They find a happy face, and dig up a treasure chest full of socks, which Bert gets excited about them, but Ernie does not get excited like Bert.
This segment is first appeared in Sesame Street Episode 4163, The Big Adventures of Bert and Ernie.
Bert and Ernie's Great Adventures Deep Sea:
As we see from the tittle, this segment is about adventures in the sea. Ernie is ready to dive. He wants to find the Eight-Legged-Wonder. But he has to dive without Bert, because he doesn’t to join in the watery fun. But when Rubber Duckie’s is in danger, Bert helps and saves Duckie. He realizes that how fun new things.
Bert and Ernie's Great Adventures Tiny Town:
The name of Bert and Ernie's Great Adventures part in Sesame Street Episode 4161 is Tiny Town. Ernie and Bert are in Tiny Town, where everything is enormous, and also Ernie and Bert are tiny. They play with a remote-control car, and make friends with a giant puppy.
Bert and Ernie's Great Adventures Planet Bert:
One of the episodes in the series of Sesame Street Bert and Ernie's Great Adventures, "Planet Bert" first aired in Episode 4166. Ernie and Bert are seen as astronauts. They travel through space in their spaceship that is Rubber Duckie-shaped. It is time to land and they land on a distant planet. They find new alien friends, who bear a striking resemblance to Bert. Aliens want to play game with them, Ernie wants but Bert is shy about meeting the aliens at first, but he learns they love pigeons as much as he does. They do his pigeon dance all together and they have fun so much.
Bert and Ernie's Great Adventures Caveman:
"Caveman" is one of the episodes in the series of Sesame Street Bert and Ernie's Great Adventures. Ernie and Bert are seen as cavemen. They find food on their own because there is no grocery stores or restaurants. Ernie finds a giant egg in a nest and he and Bert take it back to their cave. When Bert wants to cook it, it hatches and a baby dinosaur emerges, Mama Dinosaur realizes this. Ernie and Bert realizes the sadness of the mother when she is without her baby, so they decide to give him back and they get a reward that is banana.
Bert and Ernie's Great Adventures Mountain Climbers:
Bert and Ernie climb the Alps, where they meet Heidi and her rambunctious goat. When her goat tries to take a bite of Ernie's cuckoo-clock, it is nearly thrown off a cliff and Bert and Ernie help to save it.
Bert and Ernie's Great Adventures Penguins:
The name of Bert and Ernie's Great Adventures part in Sesame Street Episode 4179 is Penguins. Bert and Ernie are in Antarctica. Ernie sees a penguin. They waddle-walk with him and learn that it is a female penguin as she lays an egg. The penguin grabs Bert and she puts him and the egg, feeds him a fish and then leaves. Ernie calls an arctic taxi that is a sled dog and his plan is to ditch the egg, until Bert expresses that someone needs to keep it warm until the mother gets back, but the dog knocks it and that causes fall down the hill. They run after it and Bert can stop it, but the ice he sits on cracks and he begins drifting out to sea. The Penguin saves Bert and the egg hatches. The Penguin and another fish thanks him.
Bert and Ernie's Great Adventures Ernlock Holmes:
It is a parody of Sherlock Holmes, and we see Ernie as Holmes, and Bert as Watson. They want to solve the mystery of Lady Lulu's missing duckling that is Lily. The trail leads them to find out that Lily was not what Lulu thought she was after all.
Bert and Ernie's Great Adventures Rainforest:
The name of Bert and Ernie's Great Adventures part in Sesame Street Episode 4177 is Caveman. We see Ernie and Bert as rainforest ecologists, they answer the call of a parrot in danger. They climb to the top of the tree, they see an operatic beaver chewing down the trees. They ask him why do this and learn he is not doing it to make a dam, but instead of this, he wants to make an opera house for diva and begins eyeing the parrot's tree. Ernie wants to distract him and Bert dress as a tree to lure him away, but Bert fears. As rainforest ecologists they wants to teach the beaver that animals use trees for their homes. He understands his mistake and does not continue it anymore.
Bert and Ernie's Great Adventures Bakers:
As we see the tittle of this segment, Ernie and Bert are at a bakery and they work there. Big Bob call them, and he orders "Chocolate Surprise" and a lot of other pastries. He wants fast delivery as soon as possible. Ernie and Bert gets panic, they start to cook orders following instructions from a cookbook, but at the end there is a mess in the bakery. Big Bob, which is a rat, arrives and luckily he likes the Chocolate Surprise. One of the episodes in the series of Sesame Street Bert and Ernie's Great Adventures, "Bakers" first aired in Episode 4170.
Bert and Ernie's Great Adventures Wizard:
Bert and Ernie are at Wizard School. Elmo joins them too. But Elmo makes a mistake, he turns teacher Marlon into a frog, and now they must find the feather of a two-headed Fangriff, if they find it, it will provide to cast the spell that will turn him back.
Bert and Ernie's Great Adventures Three Wishes:
The name of Sesame Street Bert and Ernie's Great Adventures part in Episode 4184 is Three Wishes. Bert and Ernie are now in an Arabian village, Bert has set up an unsuccessful lamp stand. Ernie wants to dust off one of them and Gina is out, Gina is a rabbit genie that gives Ernie and Bert three wishes. Bert wishes for a giant palace of course including with oatmeal in it and Ernie wishes for everything that he touches to turn into Rubber Duckies. He gets carried away and accidentally turns Bert's oatmeal into one. He makes some mistakes too, and finally Gina makes everything like it once was. And then Ernie begins rubbing more of Bert's lamps to find another genie to get new wishes.
Bert and Ernie's Great Adventures Kung Fu:
We see Bert and Ernie as the guardians of the Royal Chrysanthemum. It is the most beautiful and fragile flower in the kingdom. They' practice their Kung Fu. In this time monkey which is a flower-loving, sneaks into the palace and the monkey steals Royal Chrysanthemum. As guardians Bert and Ernie' duty is to get the Royal Chrysanthemum back.
