Abby conjures a magical replay, allowing Zoe to see the harsh words she used. Zoe claims she didn't mean anything by calling Elmo "the worst" and decides to try and mend their friendship.
Zoe approaches Elmo again and attempts to explain that it was just a word. Elmo responds that it's a hurtful word and leaves once more. Leela and Chris sing a song to Zoe, explaining that while "sticks and stones" can break bones, words can be just as hurtful. Zoe realizes she needs to apologize.
Zoe finds Elmo and offers a heartfelt apology, assuring him that she wants him to be her friend, even if he can't perfect the dance moves. Elmo forgives her, and they become friends again. To celebrate Friendship Day, they perform their dance together, and this time, Elmo gets the moves just right!
