Sesame Street Episode 4601
Bedtime Story
Season 46
Abby is having a sleepover at Elmo's place, with Nina taking on the babysitter role. After an exciting story, Nina struggles to settle the excited friends for bedtime and suggests they start their bedtime routines.
First on the list is brushing teeth. Abby's special fairy toothbrush takes off flying, resulting in a wild chase around the room. Eventually, Nina captures the runaway toothbrush in Abby's backpack. Nina advises them on the need for a calmer toothbrushing routine, and Elmo shows Abby how it's done without fairy magic.
Next, it's time for a bedtime cuddle with a favorite toy. Abby brings out a flower pot to grow a beanstalk for a nightly tug-of-war with a giant. Nina steers them back to a calming routine, with Elmo demonstrating how he snuggles Baby David. Abby borrows Elmo's stuffed elephant, Elli, for a calming cuddle.
When it comes to the lullaby, Abby conjures up a lively marching band. Nina gently reminds her of the importance of a soothing lullaby. Finally, Abby understands that her fairy methods are causing her delayed sleep. Settling down, Nina sings a gentle lullaby, sending both Elmo and Abby off to sleep.
Next, Elmo and friends dance and sing to present the letter of the day, B.
Celebrity guest Tracee Ellis Ross gets ready for bed, joined by Big Bird and other B-word characters.
The number of the day, 10, is introduced by Count von Count and friends with a song and a stomp.
The Smart Cookies assist a king worried about The Crumb interrupting his royal sleep. Despite initial confusion and the king's distress, Cookie Monster manages to crack the clues, find the hidden time-sensitive Ginger Snap cookie in the king's crown, and prevents disaster by devouring the cookie.
