As Abby is enlightening Elmo about sparkles, she receives a call from her mother and rushes off to return books to the library, inadvertently leaving her magic wand behind. Elmo, finding the wand, attempts to create magic but fails initially. Undeterred, he playfully uses it as a backscratcher and a pretend conductor's baton. Suddenly, as he taps himself with the wand, everything he says transforms into a melody.
Caught in the newfound magic, Elmo waves the wand over Bob and Gordon, causing them to sing about their chess game, and soon over other people and children, spreading the enchantment of song throughout Sesame Street. The joy of music takes Elmo to the Laundromat, where Chris presents Leela with his mustard-stained shirt. A wave of the wand, and everyone breaks into a lively song about the shirt, with the wand determining the volume based on Elmo's waving speed.
Amidst the happiness and music, Elmo notices fatigue setting in amongst the people. Wanting to help, he attempts to reverse the magic, but without Abby, the singing continues uncontrollably. Thankfully, Abby arrives just in time to restore normalcy. Elmo apologizes, expressing his desire for everyone to sing. Leela consoles him, stating that no magic is needed for people to sing together. This realization culminates in a heartwarming performance of "Music Deep Inside."
The celebration continues with Elmo and the gang introducing the letter of the day, M, through song and dance.
In a special feature, Sara Bareilles joins Abby for a duet of "Just Like Magic."
Next, Cookie's Crumby Pictures presents "Furry Potter and the Goblet of Cookies," a thrilling tale of Furry Potter, portrayed by Cookie Monster, aiming to acquire the coveted Goblet of Cookies. Professor Crumblemore guides him through tasks, leading to Furry Potter's ultimate victory and his favorite trick - making cookies vanish.
Continuing the rhythm, Count von Count and friends perform a song to reveal the number of the day - 20.
The finale is "Elmo the Musical: Repair Monster the Musical," where Elmo, armed with an array of tools, transforms into a Repair Monster. When everything in the park mysteriously splits in half, Elmo teams up with The Great Halfini to restore everything to its former wholeness, concluding the day on a high note.
