New Year's Eve on Sesame Street
The Sesame Street gang prepares for their New Year's Eve celebration, singing and setting up decorations. Elmo is excited about staying up late but struggles to stay awake. Rosita and Telly take on the task of helping Elmo stay awake until the countdown. Meanwhile, in Hooper's Store, Alan teaches Cookie Monster how counting down works using cookies. Despite their efforts, Elmo falls asleep but wakes up just in time for the countdown. Everyone celebrates the New Year, and Rosita and Telly promptly take a nap. Prairie learns that "Wear a Bunny Slipper on Your Head Day" is a real celebration when she sees various animals participating.
Elmo and the gang introduce the letter of the day, H, with a song and dance.

Cookie Monster's Foodie Truck: A young girl orders a birthday cake for a surprise birthday for her friend. After discovering they're out of eggs, the monsters road trip to a chicken farm to get more. Once the cake has been made, Cookie is ready to send it out, but the girl informs him the cake is for him, even though his birthday is next week - that's the surprise!
Cookie Monster and friends sing as they wait for the number of the day, which is how many cookies are being baked for him. Today's number is 6.
