The Big Pretend Band
Mama Bear and the Monsters' jazz quartet captivate a small audience, including Elmo, Abby, Bert, and Ernie. Each of them becomes enamored with a different instrument during the encore solos. As Bert gets autographs, the others discuss their favorite instruments and pretend to play them. They decide to form a make-believe band, but Bert feels he needs to know how to play a real saxophone before he can pretend. Ernie takes him to his Uncle Ernisimo's music store for a lesson. Bert assumes Ernisimo is just Ernie in disguise, but he goes along and learns to play the saxophone. Confident in his skills, Bert joins the others for a concert, impressing everyone with his pretend saxophone solo. To their surprise, Uncle Ernisimo is real and not Ernie in disguise. He praises their performance and requests an encore, as the Big Pretend Band concludes their show with Bert now playing the pretend sousaphone.
