The Treasure of Yucky Mama
Elmo, Abby, Nina, and Charlie come across Oscar conducting his annual "spring dusting," where he sprinkles dust all over his older pieces of trash. Charlie inspects a copy of "Anne of Grouch Gables," which belonged to Oscar's great grouchma, Yucky Mama. Inside the pages, she discovers a folded map dating back to 1969. Oscar realizes that this must be the long-rumored, lost map leading to Yucky Mama's hidden treasure. The map appears to be of Sesame Street, and it magically highlights the 123 Sesame Street building, showing Oscar's trash can in its original location. Yucky Mama's image appears on the map's compass, providing them with instructions to find her hidden treasure - they must follow the map to different places on Sesame Street and complete three grouchy challenges.
First, Yucky Mama directs them to the Fix-It Shop, a location unfamiliar to the group. Oscar guides them to the laundromat, which now occupies the space. Yucky Mama challenges them to look through the window and identify something broken. They find an old toaster that has remained there for years, and Charlie retrieves it. Next, they must follow the map to the garage doors, another unknown locale. Oscar leads them to the community center building, revealing its origins. Yucky Mama's challenge is for them to dance the Grouch Cha-Cha, which Oscar reluctantly teaches them.
The third and final landmark they must locate is the construction doors that once led to Big Bird's nest. Oscar knows where they used to be and takes them there while complaining about the increasing number of friendly birds in the area. Yucky Mama's challenge is to find the lowest birdhouse in the area. They search the lowest one they find but discover nothing inside. Nina suggests that they look for an older birdhouse since the current ones are relatively new. Elmo points to an older-looking birdhouse, and behind it, they find Yucky Mama's treasure hidden within the wall!
Oscar opens the can, and it magically causes trash to rain down over the street, much to his delight. Nina comments, "This treasure may be 50 years old...but some things on Sesame Street never change." Elmo and Abby continue to examine Yucky Mama's map, concluding that while many aspects of the street have changed, it has always remained Sesame Street.
